The Lord has placed a vision in our spirits and a burden on our hearts to expand our multi-faceted ministry beyond our South Richmond comfort zone. Our vision is to continue the expansion of our ministry to Chesterfield and realizing our goal of being “Two Ministries, One Heartbeat” through the Ironbridge Worship Service. We would continue to maintain services and ministry at the Hull Street location.

The purpose of Season Of Change is to secure resources to build a multi purpose facility and worship complex on Ironbridge Road. The achievement of this goal will help us to realize our vision of annually winning souls for Christ. We are trusting God with our resources to provide the physical plant necessary to enhance our ability to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Greater Richmond area.

The spiritual goal of Season of Change is the evangelism of God’s Word within the Richmond and Chesterfield communities and the development of spiritual leaders within the ministry of First Baptist Church, South Richmond. We are providing spiritual growth and development to the congregation which has resulted in our membership developing a more committed personal relationship with God, a stronger prayer life, and a consistent lifestyle of stewardship (Church and Home).

We have reached a milestone in terms of our financial goal for Season of Change. We have already raised 1million dollars towards our expansion effort. Through the grace of God we expect this success to continue as we seek to raise another five hundred thousand dollars to allow us to break ground in the near future.

In order to do our part each disciple is being asked to be prayerful and give sacrificially to the campaign each Sunday over and above the tithe. The specific amount that is given each week needs to be determined after prayer, family discussions and seeking information about the Capital Campaign. Our desire is that persons will give generously and cheerfully to the campaign thereby allowing us to reach our goal.

The building plans currently include three facilities on 23 Acres that sit on Iron Bridge Rd. They are:

1. Phase I: A Multi-Purpose Building which will seat 2,000 for worship; and have the capacity to be rearranged and used for concerts, conferences and other events.

2. Phase II: A Family Life Center to include classroom and administrative space

3. Phase III: A Worship Center/Cathedral

We will begin construction as soon as we have adequate capital on hand to meet necessary financial obligations. We anticipate beginning Phase I within 12-18 months.

With your prayer and support we not only erect and edifice on Iron Bridge Road, but we will build the foundations of a Christ filled church for generations to come. To God Be The Glory…Great things He is doing right now!
